    Contest 2010 texts

    The House of Francité launched its annual writing contest. The theme of it, joined the initiative of UNESCO wishing to make 2010 the International Year of Rapprochement of Cultures.

    In endorsing the idea that the contest organizers suggest participants to write texts around the theme "An African meeting.

    To participate, you must be aged over 12 years and send an original text by 2 to 4 pages, with the identity card (downloadable on site), email (mdlf@maisondelafrancite.be), fax (02 / 219.67.37) or mail before April 18, 2010.

    The best essays will be published. Many prizes to win (check up to 1,250 euros, pounds, free tickets, etc..)

    Decree 2010 entries

    A few weeks ago, the Government of the French Community has postponed the deadline for entries for the primary school students as of April 26.

    The registration period ends May 7, two weeks instead of three originally planned.

    Last Wednesday, the State Council has endorsed the decree after 14 hours of debate. It will normally voted in open session on 17 March.

    To help you better understand the complexity of this decree and what follows, an information sheet will be available soon on our website.

    Belgian Informatics Olympiad

    If programming, algorithms and logic're interested, the ACM Student Chapter UCLouvain ASBL and Facultés Universitaires Notre-Dame de la Paix of Namur (FUNDP) held the first edition of the Olympiad Belgian computer.

    The competition is divided into two competitions. One for students in late secondary and one for students in first grade higher.

    Film Festival opened

    March 4, 2010

    From 12 to 21 March 2010, Media Animation offers through its festival, exploring issues of diversity through various films. The screenings will take place in Brussels and Wallonia, during some sessions, the public will have the opportunity to vote to reward participants of short film contest against racism in 2010.

    The films presented will discover cinemas from other cultures, debate with multiple guests to see the film as an actor in the fight against racism ...

    This event will be closed March 21 by an awards ceremony that day was the International Day of UN on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.

    The World March of Women 2010

    Appointments March 6, 2010 at 12:30 in Brussels Stock Exchange for the 3rd edition of the World March of Women!

    The aim of the feminist movement is to fight against inequalities still exist to this day such as poverty and violence against women. Many organizations will be present to claim and support these causes.

    The program of the course, 4 main topics are: poverty & economic independence - women and decent work, violence against women, peace and demilitarization, joint property and access to resources - food sovereignty.

    Euro in photo contest

    If you are between 14 and 18, you can participate in team competition organized by the Directorate General for Economic and Financial Affairs.

    Take an original photo on the theme "The euro: what does it for us? "Illustrating your vision of the euro and send the photograph accompanied by an explanatory legend before March 31, 2010.

    You will perhaps be a winner who will win an award at a ceremony in Brussels.

    It's up! WWF Campaign

    WWF has launched a campaign for students of secondary footprint (that is an estimate of the area from which the Earth needs to meet your needs).

    On the site www.cestlepied.be you can sign up with your class to calculate the hash of it! Then you can submit an original project to try to win up to 2500 € in your school to further reduce its environmental footprint.
